Centaur Football Weekly
Week 5 vs. Roosevelt
Concordia Academy came in as the #10 team in 2A beating Edison and Humboldt respectively. Their size and running ability was a concern. Undersized, our boys fought every play and were able to slow the Beacon’s ground attack down, limiting them to only 1 touchdown. Offense moved the ball well in the air opening up opportunities for the ground game to strike big gains. Charles Wylie led the way with 2 touchdown receptions, Junior Kai had another and the Centaurs are now 3-1 after a 26-10 victory last Friday night at BCHS.
This week is short, the Centaurs travel to a hungry Roosevelt team on a Thursday game at 7:00 pm this week. A short preparation timeline adds more to the focus and intensity of the practice time the team has. JV has a game this Monday (9/25) against Concordia at 4: 30 on the west football field. A lot to prepare for in so little time, the Centaurs hope to keep the momentum rolling heading into Roosevelt this week.
